| AA Rock Star! Is it autobiographical??? I'll never tell. Let's just say its a song about someone who quit drinking, and created their niche in "going to coffee" after their group therapy meetings. When getting clean and sober, people often replace their drug of choice with coffee, cigarettes, food, sex or anything else that keeps them from taking that first drink or drug. In this case the fictional main character replaced drinking and drugs with DRAMA and loved to entertain themself with other people's addiction struggle. On the other hand... The song could also be about a fictional 30 some year old man or woman who hangs out with the 14-21 year old crowd. Kids 14-21 are at an age where seven years abstinence seems like a very long time. The 30 some year old convinces the younger people he is a guru, thus achieving temporary "Rock Star Status". Seven years dry the kids all think he's a God. Coffee all night, still can't hold a job. Lonely lover wondering what time your getting home? "I don't know baby, guess you're on your own" Thats just life when you're the wife of an AA Rockstar. << GO BACK |
